Weight: Parts made from sheet molding compound (SMC) are typically 25-35% lighter than steel parts of the same strength.

 

●Stable appearance: SMC has a low thermal expansion coefficient CLTE, which can withstand the high temperature of the engine and the temperature in hot summer. It is suitable for manufacturing automobile cover, engine cover, roof panel, tailgate, etc.

 

● Surface treatment: SMC body sheets have excellent surface quality and are as easy to paint as traditional steel sheets.

 

● Recovery characteristics: When the metal sheet is permanently deformed by impact, the sheet molding compound (SMC) will recover and return to its original appearance after impact deformation.

 

● Production cycle: Because the number of parts required in assembly is reduced, thermosetting materials shorten the design and production time.
